I always enjoy the stories of these Pinkerton detectives. The first case is of a murder and bank robbery. Other investors had failed to get any leads to follow, but Allan Pinkerton was able to interpret the evidence and find proof of guilt. The second case is of murder where little evidence is available, but once again, Allan Pinkerton is able to obtain proof and prevent another murder. I highly recommend this book.Product details

It is apparent that the great detective Allan Pinkerton had a "Ghost Writer," but both his personal and business life were better than fiction. However, he does reveal to the reader quite bit about his first female detective, Kate Warne and what she contributed to the Pinkerton Detective Agency. This story reminded me of several Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes adventures, except Pinkerton's stories were based on facts.
