I decided to check this book out because I'm a believer that everybody should know some survival skills. The book itself has some really good information, and definitely provides some things I wouldn't have even thought of.
However, a lot of the information in the book is mostly useless without illustrations. For instance, the parts of the book on starting a fire, identifying edible food sources, and much more would go a lot further with beginners if there were some pictures.
Further, there are multiple spelling mistakes in the book, as well as things that are worded so poorly I had to re-read them multiple times, only to find it was grammatically incorrect. For instance, when discussing edible food sources, the author incorrectly uses the word "venomous" to describe some plants when he should have used the word "poisonous". Venom = something that bites you and you get an adverse effect, Poison = something you ingest or are exposed to and get an adverse effect.
While the amount of knowledge in the book surpasses the previously mentioned errors, I felt they were worth mentioning. All in all, this book contains a lot of knowledge that may end up saving your life. I think the author should send the book in for a bit of editing, and release a new version with some pictures.
